My name is Elin and I am 28 years old. I just found out that I had ABS. I was surfing the internet about my “deformed” fingers on both hand and on toes on right foot. The doctors in Norway just called it syndactaly.

My “deformed” fingers haven’t stopped me from doing what I want to do. ABS effected both of my hands and my right foot. On my right hand I have a normal pinky and thumb; on my left hand the pinky is normal.
I work in a daycare and the kids ask me what happened to me and why I have small fingers and I tell them I was born like this. When I was 7 years other kids started teasing me and the teasing didn’t stop until I was 19 years old.
