I was 16 weeks into my pregnancy when we had found out about Amniotic band syndrome. We had never heard of Amniotic Band Syndrome before.
The doctor’s sent me to UofM for better ultrasounds (3d). They told me my baby’s finger’s were affected by ABS, possibly the pinky was missing. It was hard for me since my son had been through enough with his medical history but knowing she had a heart beat I was ok.
Around 34 weeks pregnant at another ultrasound they seen that there was now a missing toe. They induced me at 38 weeks and Alaska Grace was born. She is beautiful the way she is. And this disability isn’t stopping her from trying to use her hand.
